The Aiptek also actually has a battery – you have two hours with the projector on, and eight with it off. You can disable the main 7” IPS screen while using the projector, or have both going at once. The resolution is the same at 854x480, but it's good for 50 lumens and a 120” large display, versus 30 and 80 for the EPICT.
The ProjectorPad's lens is slightly better than the EPICT's.
It may not be quite as unique a design as the EPICT is, but it's certainly more versatile. While that device's only visual output was its projector lens, Aiptek's ProjectorPad P70 also has a screen – it's a 7” tablet with a DLP lens embedded in its bottom-right corner. I know it is supported, because I've had pressure working before. xinput does NOT list the tablet as a device, so I can't configure it as extended input devices in GIMP etc. The problem is no pressure sensitivity/configuration (the device moves the cursor, and I can click, but that's it). I've been reading on using the hal FDI files, and I have such an FDI file, which detects the tablet correctly. I have the above tablet, which has drivers for both xorg, and the kernel.
